Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Higher Professional School of Information Services in Prague 4, Pacovská 350, the Czech Republic, considers as a priority to prepare students with regard to the real requirements of employers. The objective of the School is to train students to be able to compete in the labour market in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. The School cooperates with companies and organizations of the same or similar specializations to School study programs. In these organizations, students have the opportunity to complete their compulsory practical internship which is a part of their study program. It is referring to both companies in the Czech Republic as well as organizations in different parts of Europe thanks to the Erasmus + Program. Last year, i.e. in the period of academic years 2015-2016, the School organized the practical internship abroad for six students. The School sent them to Spain, Ireland, Finland and Malta. The students worked in small and medium-sized museums and galleries, international bookstores and in the university library. Three students were sent for the study programs to the partner school Hochschule in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and the Institute of Technology in Sligo, Ireland. The student work and study internships have been implemented with regards to the conditions of the ECHE Charter and the Grant Agreement. The practical internship is an obligatory part of all the study programs in our School. If it is carried out abroad, it is recognized officially and financed in accordance with the established rules. Additionally, we organized four mobilities for teachers, i.e. two tutorials and two training programs. Two of these mobilities have been attended by the staff for the first time. Our School was visited by three visiting teachers from partner organizations. We devote all possible care to visiting teachers and employees beyond the usual study and educational activities. During the period of 2015-2016, we were not able to arrange an incoming student mobility even though we try to promote our program on the School website and by means of the electronic and personal communication. The list of courses offered for the following academic year is always updated in advance on the School website as well as other relevant information for incoming participants. It is a prestigious event for the School, as one of the few higher professional schools in the Czech Republic, to take part in the Erasmus Program. The School is proud of having the possibility to send its students and staff for the internship abroad with the financial support.
