Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Over the last years our school IES PÉREZ GALDÓS, located in the Canary Islands, has developped several European actions, both through Erasmus and Comenius actions. In this moment, we are ready to start and enlarge new horizonts and projects, increasing and spreading formation in the Vocational Training field, which is also part of our school. We are firmly convinced that it is extremely important, taking into account the social-economic situation undergone by our country, and especially considering the 30% unemployment rate in our island, to establish new mechanisms in order to help the participants future labour possibilities. The fact of having a European experience guarantees them a better future. Due to our previous experiences in European projects, we know that these mobilities have got a direct reflection on school work and in longlife learning. This time we proposed the participation of 8 people, framed in different groups: 5 Students of Higher Cycle (Short Cycle) of belonging to professional families (Trade and Sociosanitaria) and 3 teachers related to the delivery of these teachings. Amongst the main activities to be developped we will highlight the practical formation with our partenerships in Malta, Poland, United Kingdom. Students belonging to the Higher Cycles Sales Management and Commercial Spaces (1), Socio-Cultural and Tourism (3) and Early Childhood Education (1). The mobilities of Job Shadow / Training were conducted by teachers who taught in the aforementioned cycles The followed methodology will be practical, focusing in the use of New Technologies throughout the life of the project, both as a working method and as a mean of difussion. In a long term period, we aim this action to be a starting point in the increasement of the number of participants in European actions in our school. Our main objectives are to develop the international concept within our school population and to improve the quality of Education. We strongly believe that if we did not have access to these kind of European projects, taking into account our geographical position, our students and teachers would not be able to develop a real concept about what Europe is and about what Europe will be and offer in the near future.
