Higher education student and staff mobility project

The IFITS has the role to train graduate nurses. These formations are present in all the countries of the European Union. Since its creation in 1946, the IFITS always opened with international and always supported the experiments of training abroad as well for the students as for the trainers. The opening on the world is registered in the institutional culture. This opening is anchored around a certain number of values: - Humanism: priorisant the knowledge and the respect of the other in its difference. - Of open-minded: who allows to better understand the various points of view. - Citizenship: to develop the direction of the commitment and the critical spirit and the construction of a spirit European citizen. In 2005, the IFITS has candidate for the program ERASMUS. This candidature had legitimacy in comparison of the history and the culture of the IFITS. The University Charter of the European Commission was granted, in 2006, 2007 and the 2014 objectives of the IFITS: - To promote equal opportunity by facilitating the access of the students for Erasmus by searching complementary finance. - To increase and encourage student mobilities During these 2 years, 19 students in L2 and L3 and 18 professors benefited from a subvention wich permited them to do studies, internships, training and teaching throughout Europe. Because of this opportunity the students developped : • Capacities of adaptation to new environments • An open-minded by modifying its representations, by repositioning its judgements and by breaking its prejudices. • A self-confidence and a discovery of oneself • An autonomy, a capacity of adaptation • Linguistic capacities • Social links and friendships contributing to its cultural enrichment • The construction of a European identity In terms of professional development it is: • A discovery of practices of care and different organizations of work, the acquisition of new knowledge in the field of the care male nurses • A development of capacities of adaptation to different professional environments • The discovery of a health care system of different social protection, different problems of health, it is also better to understand the challenges of health in Europe • The acquisition of necessary competences to the practice of the trade of male nurse. By the assumption of responsibility of patients in services of care, the implementation of the actions aimed diagnostic and therapeutic, the communication in a relation of care, the clinical evaluation of situation and the establishment of a diagnosis in the field of nursing. The professors provided courses within an establishment of European higher education wich alowed them to acquire new informations and knowledge with the educational systems,. As result it helps them to establish partnerships with new colleagues, to be confronted with new methods of teaching and work, to facilitate the mutual recognition of the formations in addition that permits to learn different cultures. We provide opportunities for professors and Professional nurses with different backgrounds to come from differents European Universities to give classes in our establishment In addition to their professional capacities, they bring their cultures, their vision and their experiences in nursing care, contributing to reciprocal enrichment, which allows students who do not have the possibility of going abroad to profit from European nurses.
