Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Since 2001, HELMo is aware of the international issues and wants its Students to be open-minded. Therefore, HELMo has established an international office in order to developp et reinforce partnerships with institutions of higher education all around Europe (even worldwise) for encouraging Students mobilities for studies. These partnerships are regularly assessed in order to verify faisability of the study programmes and to ensure the academic recognition for the attended courses. The international office follows up internships too in order to prepare Students to the future work environment. At the end of theses mobilities, Students seem to have developped skills in terms of contents, because of a new approach of these contents and they have developped personal soft skills as self-sufficiency, independance, cultural aspects, linguistic and Professional skills). At least 140 Students (bachelor and master level) from the different departments of our University college (from Business and management mainly, social work, teachers training, polytechnics and health care) took part to the Erasmus+ Programme. Thanks to the Students mobility organized within a high-qualified partners network, HELMo will reinforce in the future its position in the international Community of higher Education. HELMo encourages staff mobilities. Through such mobilities (teaching session or staff training), lecturers (mainly from the teacher training department and the social work department) share their practice with colleagues, teach their contents with another point of view. After the mobility, the lecturers have new expériences, new contents they can implement in the home institution (practice from colleagues, from work environment). Such a mobility reinforces the partnerships too thanks to personal contacts with pairs. These also come to HELMo to give a lecture. After a mobility, our lecturers become more creativ (new method, new contents, new processes); they know what a mobility is and they can encourage students to live an experience abroad. New course modules can be developped and implemented in home institution. It is the beginning of internationalisation@home. Short mobilities, international "games", international modules were also created after these mobilities. Internationalisation@home is also an aim for our instititution thanks to more international contents, thanks to new teaching methods inspired by partners, thanks to invited experts. INCOMING students are also welcome. In 2011, HELMo has created the ESN-team. The students involved in this association help the INCOMING for the social, cultural and sport life. Modules in English are organized each year in our business department for INCOMING students from Scandinavian and Eastern Countries.
