Higher education student and staff mobility project

The project is based on the implementation of the compulsory subject for practices in companies (placements) for three months in companies in Europe, under a Mobility project for Higher Education within the Erasmus + programme. In addition to promoting mobility of students for work placements in companies in Europe, the objective of this project it is to introduce students to the labor market in other countries, knowing other social and political realities, new technologies, etc., facilitating the development of innovative practices, improving the quality of vocational training with professional knowledge sharing, strengthening cooperation between vocational training and training competitive students at European level in order to facilitate their access to the EU labor market, encouraging cooperation with other European institutions, arousing in our students an awareness of European citizenship and promoting its educational and job mobility, reinforcing attitudes of social cohesion, inter-cultural dialogue and personal responsibility through mobility activities, promoting multilingualism and improving social skills by learning communication and social life, and through respect for differences. Participants were three students of the Higher Level Training Course "Building Projects", belonging to the professional field "Building and Civil engineering". Three young students from that training cycle, between 19 and 21 years old, have shown interest in a mobility experience and immersion for three months, in a very different working environment in which to apply what has been studied for over the last months in the high school. For it they have chosen two destination countries. Two of them have developed their traineeships in Dublin, capital of Ireland, and the third one chose the Italian city of Padova. In these cities we have met our host companies. Architectural Studies for developing building projects, in which our participating students have been integrated as one worker more, performing technical tasks about Building Projects in a company, showing their strengths and potential and learning new techniques. At the same time our high school have made an organizational deployment, planning travel and stays, fixing agreements and training programs between all actors in this project, establishing channels of communication and coordination processes to ensure the success of this project in which all participating students. sending high school and host companies assume the project objectives as own. The results: a fabulous experience for the participants, they gain maturity, experience, employability and a very different conception of the reality of European cultural workspace. A reinforcement of our internationalization strategy, expanding our network of partner companies and greater projection of the educational work of IES Santa Lucia.
