Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Learning mobility project for higher education students and staff towards Programme Countries. Project’s objectives: to increase participation in international mobility, with a particular focus on students and recent graduates; to reach an high quality mobility, combining long term cooperations with well known partner institutions, more recent agreements with partners offering new studies and research opportunities and links with qualified enterprises offering international employment perspectives to students and recent graduates; to strengthen cooperation and staff exchange within important networks (such as the Coimbra group). A lot of attention has been given to the quality of student mobility, in terms of academic quality (acquirement and recognition of credits) and in relation to encouraging interpersonal and intercultural confidence and soft skills. The quality of incoming mobility has also been pursued through linguistic support activities, accommodation and social events. A particular focus was put on mobility for traineeship, which leads students and recent graduates to make good use of knowledge and skills acquired during their studies (and in many cases during a previous mobility for studies experience), helping them to access the labour market. A lot of care was taken in relation to establish good, high quality and longlasting cooperations with host enterprises. This strategy brought remarkable results in terms of mobility quality and quantity, and participants satisfaction. Longer term benefits: teaching staff mobility towards foreign institutions in countries we were not cooperating with before (es. Island) will help increasing the mobility and meeting our projects’ objectives in the future; the increased number of incoming staff from enterprises strengthen the cooperation with the labour market, making it possible to offer new traineeship opportunities to students and recent graduates and to enrich our curricula with new teaching perspectives, more oriented to a new European integrated labour market; through the exchange of good practices, non teaching staff mobility generates important learning opportunities which are very valuable for the performance of the institutions and for the internationalization processes of our University. The individuals who took part in the project are 658, which is the highest participant number so far: 494 students for studies mobility; 82 students and 58 recent graduates for traineeship mobility; 13 University of Pavia teaching staff and 6 staff from enterprise for teaching mobility; 5 University of Pavia non teaching staff for training mobility.
