The Higher Institute of Business Engineering Le Mans (ISIALM) is a Higher Education Institution managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Le Mans and Sarthe. In partnership with Sup de V school managed by the Chamber of Commerce from Ile de France, ISIALM awards a diploma of Key Account Manager certified by the French State (Niveau 1) and registered at « Répertoire National des Certifications professionnelles » (RNCP). This recent institution was created in 2008 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Pays de la Loire Region, city of Le Mans and La Sarthe Department to meet our job market needs for qualified technicians with high level business education. Our Master degree offers dual competences in business and negotiation to young graduates from technical college (BAC+2 or BAC+3). In 2010 we decided to enhance our curriculum with international and European experiences and we made the internship abroad compulsory thanks to Erasmus and regional Envoleo programmes. Since 2014 we allow our students to study in Germany for a bilingual (German-English) semester at our partner, University of Furtwangen. We reciprocate with inbound mobility of German students during a winter semester. This year 12 students made a placement abroad and we could financially help 10 of them: 9 with Erasmus (2 SMS and 7 SMP) and 41with Envoleo grants (the remaining students receiving allowances from receiving enterprises). Thanks to our strong budget investment, we transformed our Erasmus subvention into more grants than initially forecasted. To meet this goal, we had to give up staff or teaching mobility. The immediate profits from placement and studies abroad can be seen in the improved language capabilities, since all of our students meet a 750 TOEIC level. Our graduates, specialised in managing business and technology, find their first job directly after their last internship which testify the excellence of this educational niche emphasised by intercultural experience.
