Higher education student and staff mobility project

The ACME consortium was formed with the grouping 7 Institutions of High Education of the city of A Coruna, such as Universidade da Coruña (UDC), the School of Art and Design Pablo Picasso and vocational training degree top; IES Fernando Wirtz, IES Ramón Menéndez Pidal, IES Urban Lugrís, IES Eusebio da Guarda and CIFP Someso, being coordinated by the University of a Coruña Foundation. Through this consortium, and for 24 months, they have channeled the synergies between the different institutions participating in the Consortium and helped recent graduates in higher education, at the local level of A Coruna, had a real experience, enabling the realization of placements to supplement their practical training, which have helped to improve their employability and enhance their future career prospects. The specific objectives of the project, listed below, are met in full: 1 - Encourage the incorporation of recent graduates to the labor market, 2 - Continue the training received during their studies in higher education through traineeships in high quality European companies, 3 - Facilitate the development of innovative practices in education and training. 4 - Increase skill levels and knowledge of the labor market, 5 - Improve entrepreneurship and the assumption of autonomy of the participants, 6.- Improve the professional skills linked to the workplace, 7 - Promote intercultural understanding of the participants, 8 - Improve language skills, 9 - Contribute to the professional , personal and social development of participants as European citizens 10 - Address at the needs of qualified companies, 11 - Promote cooperation between Higher Education Institutions and companies. Of the 51 planned mobilities, granted in accordance with the application form, this Consortium managed to mobilize 17 recent graduates in four HEIs; Universidade da Coruña, IES Menéndez Pidal, IES Plurilingüe Eusebio da Guarda and EASD Pablo Picasso, which has seen a 33% originally planned. The number and profile of participants were different corresponding 18% to vocational training candidates, 47% grade and 35% of master's, doctoral students not participating. Of these, 41% had participated in previous Erasmus. Their mobilities were made between 2015 and 2016, corresponding to 47% by 2015 and 53% in 2016. The areas of knowledge by 41% corresponded social and legal sciences, engineering and architecture 35%, 17% and arts and humanities 7% to experimental sciences. 88% of these mobilities were 90 days or more than 90 days and 12% were 60 days or mobilities between 60 and 90 days. All mobilized participants received support of coordinator and its HEIs, for selection and registration, preparation of the contents of its training programs, completing the learning agreement and the grant agreement and were tutored before, during and after their mobilities, receiving all language training and training in skills development and further training. In addition, monitoring of their employment was made and were advised to register on the FUAC employment platform as candidates for the vocational training program for recent graduates in companies and jobs. Through this consortium has provided a solid infrastructure through which young graduates belonging to six higher education institutions of the city of A Coruna been able to make a module of practical training in companies (76%) and European universities (24%). In addition, through this international mobility they have improved their training for incorporation into the labor market by putting into practice the knowledge acquired at the level of higher education in another member country of the European Union, thus starting his career and improving their personal and social growth as required by the new European knowledge society. These stays have allowed to approach the working world, facing real situations that have allowed him to develop professional, social and language skills as teamwork and problem solving, issues highly valued by the business world. In short, these placements in enterprises and community colleges have provided them greater employment opportunities for access to quality jobs, well paid and in their area of training, and a more complete training, with employment of 53%
