Higher education student and staff mobility project

IRPA plays a key role on the field of the Islamic Religious Education: It is the only EU-wide High School of an officially recognized religious community entitled to train the teachers of Islamic religious education in public schools. Its students, academic and administrative staff originate from different national, social and cultural backgrounds. It is an academic environment with a high concentration of subjects such as classic Islamic sciences and theology, educational sciences and social sciences. With regard to the student mobilities, our intention was to provide our interested and highly motivated students with the opportunity to experience new learning environments. Furthermore, they should be empowered to compare the new learning environment with their home institution. While abroad, the students represented IRPA at our partner institutions. Back home, through their feedback and evaluation reports, our ErasmusPlus project was promoted also among other students. Within the framework of this project, 21 mobilities were conducted: 6 student mobilities, 14 staff mobilities for teaching and 1 staff mobility training purposes. 5 female and 1 male student were among the participants. 12 staff members participated in the staff mobilities, teaching primarily educational sciences, political sciences, theology and philosophy. In summary, the outcome of the project is positive: The mobilities intensified IRPAs scientific exchange. Students and staff conributed to future networkings of the institution. And the international visibility of the institution was improved.
