Higher education student and staff mobility project

The Erasmus+ Project aimed at social and cultural services and the community, in particular at Infant Education, has just finished. Previously there have been other activities related with experiences abroad: - International exchanges with the U.K, France and the U.S.A. - We have received assistant teachers from various countries (Germany, France, the U.K. , the U.S.A). - We have both received and found training centers for various French students. - We have made contact with possible training centers in the UK and France. - One student has carried out training in Ireland during school year 2012-2013, through Erasmus+ “Consortium “ in Castile. - We have participated in the Comenius project. The objectives were the following: - To provide students and teachers of third level Infant Education with experience in a European environment. - To collaborate with and promote exchanges for teachers and students in our center. - To improve the linguistic ability of students and teachers in European languages. - To experience education systems, culture and traditions of other European countries. - To improve professional skills through contact with European education sectors. - To improve social and personal skills in a working environment. - To develop new areas in which to implement innovative educational projects. - To develop Curriculum Vitaes in order to facilitate job seeking. All staff trips (Staff mobility for training between Programme Countries) have taken place using “job-shadowing”: - Finland : Tiistilän koulu (Espoon Kaupunki) - Italy : International Center “Loris Malaguzzi” (Reggio Emilia) - Portugal: “Francisco Giner de los Ríos” School Center (Lisbon) - Portugal: Creche e jardim de infancia dos Marinheiros (Albufeira). This last (mobility) with (Organisational Support) All students trips (Student mobility for traineeships between Programme Countries) took place during work experience in training centers: - Malta (Luqa and Sliema): 2 students with an Erasmus+ grant organized by the center, 1 student with Zero grant and 2 students with “Erasmus.es” grant. - Italy (Ferrara): 1 student with “erasmus.es” grant. Planned trips (Student mobility for traineeships) that failed for various reasons: - Finland: 2 students that did not avail of the trip for academic reasons and another for work related reasons. - The U.K: 1 student who did not fulfill the agreement and was cancelled once started. One trip to Malta took place to meet the needs of the student as Organization Support- O.S. The result was the exchange of experiences not only of the Educational Community, but also the staff of the collaborating centers with our center, as well as an article in the local paper and in the web page. Apart from that, as a result of the trips ( Erasmus + mobility) a project of R&D (Research and Development) has been developed with students and the training centers. Another Erasmus+ program has been applied for including a trip which is awaiting confirmation as a continuation of the present project.
