The Erasmus + started a new era in all areas of our university: teaching, management, mobility, internationalization, informatization. This program opened a new chapter, both qualitative and quantitative, in the exchange of students and teachers, and gave a new impetus to development. The purpose and value of the project was:
- to increase mobility of the project participants and increasing their chances on the European and national labor market;
- to develop appropriate attitudes of students: building and strengthening entrepreneurship, competitiveness, self-reliance, openness, tolerance, facilitate the exercise of their profession abroad and dealing in unusual circumstances;
- to create opportunities to cooperate in the field of art and design for both students and teachers of partner universities, create projects and ideas which meet the needs of the recipient, who may be an cooperating organizations, another institution or an individual customer.
- to create joint planes for the activities of design and art;
- to develop pro-European attitudes, familiarity in the international environment;
- to apply professional language;
- to acknowledge and experience themes and issues of local importance for society.
The target audience of the project were students, lecturers of Interior Design, as well as administration staff. The project involved a total of 8 people (8 women, 1 man). Three students took a semester at a partner university, and two students completed their practice. Moreover, three teachers took part in short-term teaching assignments, and one employee for training.
Those involved in the project broadened my horizons. This amongst others was:
- language competence development;
- developing skliis for team-work or individual work;
- increasing self-confidence;
- increasing their chances of European and national labor market;
- learning activities responsibly and cooperation;
- dutifulness, discipline;
- the acquisition of skills to cope with stress;
- increased sense of responsibility for the tasks performed;
- exploring the similarities and differences between nations and sexes, acceptance and tolerance;
- increased job satisfaction, greater motivation;
- new contacts and expanding of professional network;
- acquisition of communication skills (interpersonal).
Furthermore, they had the oppurtunity to discover the culture of the partner countries, local culture of the region, customs, traditions and mentality. As a result, they were able to break stereotypes and promote the region in which they live.
For our school the key goal was to improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational education. This increased interest in raising linguistic competence among employees and higher career aspirations. It also had impact on employee satisfaction which resulted in their motivation and greater commitment to the teaching process. The development of mobility fits perfectly well in the promotion policy of the city of Wroclaw. The city is recognized as a "good brand" and every year more and more foreigners - scholarship program Erasmus + come here to study. As a scholl we also gained additional experience that will use in future projects.
