Project 2014-1-NL01-KA103-000915 has been successfully implemented with the goal of The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) to stimulate qualitative outgoing mobility. THUAS its framework for development includes four main focal points: - World citizenship - Quality - Networking higher educational institutions - Internationalisation Each aforementioned focal point unites with Project 2014-1-NL01-KA103-000915. THUAS strives to stimulate students and staff to approach, experience and implement education with an open minded, pro-active and ground-breaking practice. Project 2014-1-NL01-KA103-00091 is well-suited in THUAS its framework for development. Growing outgoing and incoming mobility preserves and strengthens international partnerships, contributes to qualitative educational experiences and stimulates diversity and intercultural activities. The project stimulates, vitalises and increases the development of an international and globalised labour market by creating an international platform and thus initiating and shaping an international community. The number of participants to Project 2014-1-NL01-KA103-000915 for outgoing mobility, increased significantly in the first semester of the academic year 2015-2016 and has been encountered as an unanticipated growth, urging THUAS to seek additional financial resources outside of the allocated budget for the implementation of the project. The ambitions translated into THUAS its development policies, have earlier set the tone for persistent growth of participants and have now led to a significant and palpable expansion of participation. Therefore the expectation is that the number of participants will be continuous. THUAS strives to educate all students to become world citizens by underlining the importance of acquiring international competencies during their studies. Faculties implement own policy strategies to students who are participating in a study exchange programme or internship abroad. The majority of the faculties focus on study exchange programmes which usually take place in the third year of the bachelor programmes. Internships are usually part of the final year curriculum. Teaching staff are becoming more equipped in exchanging ideas, teaching methods and knowledge. The activities undertaken with regard to Project 2014-1-NL01-KA103-000915 are study exchange programmes, staff exchange and internships abroad. The output and results of this project are translated into enhanced intercultural development, further enforcement of world citizenship and the creation of a platform endorsing an international community and therefore increasing the development of an international and globalised labour market. Staff exchange is gradually growing and we expect to develop this in the coming years. In the offered bachelor programmes that include a mandatory study exchange programme as part of the curriculum, the teaching staff is highly experienced in teaching in an international class room and preparing students for a study exchange programme abroad.
