Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The University of Twente published her vision on internationalization in the 'Vision 2020'. The main point of view is: "We strongly encourage the development of education in national and international networks, and international participation in our programmes. The University of Twente is in a leading position in national and international consortia, making extensive use of the opportunities for ongoing digitalization, including blended learning. These networks enhance intensive student and staff mobility in the form of exchange programmes within a particular discipline or track, and jointly designed programmes. Students experience studying and working abroad, but are also enriched by the multicultural classroom and the international community on campus." In practice, this is being implemented in the following way: "Through international partnerships, exchange takes place in all undergraduate programmes. Each student earns a minimum of 15 ECTS credits abroad. International students from our exchange partners take part in high quality exchange packages that enhance the University of Twente’s profile." Exchange (and the Erasmus Program) is of major importance to UT's internationalization policy. It is known to be an important instrument in achieving UT's goals in this area. The UT campus becomes more international by the influx of Erasmus students. Furthermore, Erasmus gives UT students and teachers/support staff the opportunity to achieve an international experience. UT considers this of major importance. The Erasmus Policy Statement has been formulated during its precedent: UT's vision documents Route 14 and Route 14+ in which internationalization already played an important role. The EPS contains UT's core values in the field of internationalization which are applied and refined in the Vision 2020. This report shows that the KA103 project 2014-2016 has been completely implemented. Furthermore the UT has added extra budget to the project in order to facilitate even more outbound students with an Erasmus scholarship.
