Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences has successfully implemented its 2014 Erasmus+ project. In doing so, it has made a significant positive contribution to international academic mobility within the university. Areas of focus included practical learning in an international context, the attracting of international students, and increased participation in international research and development projects. As planned, collaboration with European partners was intensified and a number of new university agreements were concluded. Across all elements of the project, there was a strong focus on ensuring that all university students and staff have equal access to the programme, regardless of their personal background. In order to make Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences more attractive to Erasmus students, English-language study programmes are now offered in addition to an extended range of language courses and intercultural training programmes, all of which deal with the use, design, and conservation of natural resources. Focused on the theme of "Sustainable Engineering", these programmes are mostly aimed at international students who for the first time can study at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences without having any knowledge of the German language. Working with international lecturers, it is also planned to extend the number of modules currently on offer. The mobility of teaching staff is viewed as being key to the promotion of internationalisation, and also contributes to the consolidation of international skills and experience, and the recognition of a university's performance on an international level. An important milestone of the project was the successful implementation of a centralised process to ensure that all courses and studies completed abroad are fully recognised by the Examining Committee and Examinations Office in an efficient manner. For Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, the Erasmus+ programme is an important strategic tool for ensuring the continued mobility of university students and staff, and for enhancing the employability of its graduates.
