Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Under the project, the Euroacademy's students and staff mobility was implemented between programme countries in the period of 1.06.2014 to 31.05.2016. While applying for the project, an 18-month activity period was planned and the goal was set to send 6 students to study, 3 students to do traineeship, 2 lecturers to teach and 2 staff members to participate in training. In reality, we were unable to spend all the funds, mainly due to the students' shorter mobility periods. By the beginning of September 2015, 70% of the grant had been spent, therefore it was decided to extend the project duration until 31.05.2016. Overall, 15 mobilities took place under the project, i.e. two more than was planned at the time of application. Five students studied at partner universities – two from the programme of Interior Architecture, two from Business Management and one from Translator programme. The students of business management and interior architecture chose foreign universities where Euroacademy's students had studied earlier, Wyższa Szkoła Finansów i Zarządzania w Białymstoku and Universidade da Beira Interior respectively. The student of Translation Faculty was the first Euroacademy's student at Università degli Studi "Gabriele d'Annunzio" under this project. Three students – two from the specialty of Interior Architecture and one from International Relations – and two recent graduates – one fashion designer and one interior architect – participated in traineeship. The traineeships in the field of interior architecture took place at small enterprises in Malta; the traineeships in the fields of international relations and fashion design at small enterprises in Poland and Great Britain respectively. Two students failed in fulfilling the learning agreement – one completely, i.e. did not pass (positively) any exam; one partially, i.e. brought back fewer credit points than in the agreement. All trainees and three students were successful – they completed learning agreements in full. Overall satisfaction was very high – the majority of the students and recent graduates were very satisfied with their Erasmus experience, even those who were able to fulfill the planned goals only partially. All students admitted an improvement of their language skills and would be interested to work in international environment thereafter. As far as personal development is concerned, all participants increased their capability to adapt, to cooperate with people from other backgrounds and cultures, their openness and interest towards new challenges have grown, as well awareness of their capabilities and the ability to find solutions in complex situations. Within the framework of teachers/staff mobility a total of three lecturers were involved in five mobilities – one lecturer from the Faculty of Environmental Protection participated in a training in Uppsala, one lecturer from the Faculty of Business Management and one from the Translation Faculty took part in training in Barcelona and visited a new partner university Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo for the purpose of teaching as well. General satisfaction among the teachers was quite high – in two cases participants were very satisfied, in three cases – rather satisfied. All participants appreciated highly the role of mobility in increasing cooperation with partner organizations and in Euroacademy´s internationalization. In terms of professional development, all lecturers admitted the improvement of foreign language skills, establishing new contacts, and the expansion of professional networking. The mobility of teaching staff increased their job satisfaction and their social and linguistic/cultural competences.
