The aim of the project is manifold: On the one hand, students of Leibniz Universität Hannover should be educated in order to be competitive on the international labour market; on the other hand, they should be granted the opportunity to gain international experiences. Simultaneously, living, teaching and researching at Leibniz Universität Hannover will be enriched by international exchange. Thus, the internationalisation and attractiveness of the university will increase. The mobility programme comprises stays abroad for students (SMS), stays abroad for teaching purposes (STA) as well as stays abroad for advanced vocational training and further education (STT). The implementation of the project not only shows positive results in terms of the lifelong learning processes of the participants, but also with regard to the optimisation of internal processes at Leibniz Universität Hannover. Consequently, the implementation of international experiences into existing structures at Leibniz Universität Hannover causes a re-thinking of established processes and can lead to reshaping in some cases. The further development of agreements in terms of modules serves as an example thereof.
