Fachhochschule Südwestfalen has been participating in ERASMUS+ and its predecessor programmes for more than 15 years, basically considering it to be a good mobility programme for its students as well as staff. The number of in- and outbound participants constantly grew over the years. For the 2014 project student mobilities for studies as well as traineeships and teaching staff mobilities were planned. 21 students joined one of our partner universities for one semester, 13 students undertook traineeships at European enterprises and two lecturers taught in programmes run at our partner universities. More male than female students went abroad, reflecting the overall gender distribution of Fachhochschule Südwestfalen’s students. The favourite destination of the students was The United Kingdom, followed by Spain and Turkey. Students generally gained a high amount of credits during their stay abroad. One of the teaching staff taught at a partner university that has been cooperating with Fachhochschule Südwestfalen for more than 15 years, whilst the other one was done in a programme at a relatively new partner university.
