Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The participation in Erasmus+ is a constituent element of our university's internationalisation strategy. It is essential for the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt to be able to send students to attractive universities across Europe. It is also substantial to have students from many different countries across Europe as ambassadors on our campus. Especially in a time where the European Idea and the EU-Project seems to have lost support among people in Europe it is more than ever important to forge bonds among people from all parts of Europe. It is also important for us to be able to support internships in European countries. Our numbers are still small but especially for internships many of our students prefer to go overseas choosing destinations on other continents. Our Erasmus SMP-Internship program is embedded in a Career Service for students who want to gain work experience combined with the experience of a foreign country. Our teaching staff exchange program has been a strenght of our university. We encourage teaching staff to go abroad since we noticed a growing support for student exchanges from staff who have been on exchanges themselves. Our administrative staff exchange has also been a success even though the numbers are small, the people who have participated all came back enthusiastic and now act as multiplicators across our university. The goals we set for ourself were almost all met except for minor exceptions. We planned to have 176 mobilities (SMS) and realized 165. We planned and realized 29 SMP-mobilities. We had 32 instead of planned 36 STA-mobilities and had 3 instead of 4 staff exchanges (STT). The long term goals and effects of this years mobilities are especially important since we could recognize more stability and success in partnerships in which we had staff mobilities conducted.
