PROJET
TERMINÉ
For the Academy of Business and Health Sciences, the goal of the mobility project in Erasmus+ was to introduce the students and the staff – both in the academic and administrative sector - to the process of internationalization of the Academy. The main objective of the project was to inform as many potential participants as possible and introduce them to the Erasmus+ Programme and its opportunities, and to encourage students and staff to participate in mobilities that would both, increase the competences of the participants and introduce them to the idea of the European Union and multiculturalism.
In the end, only four participants applied for the Programme, all of them employees of the Academy, both academic and administrative ones. However, all participants unanimously identified their experience as successful and expressed their desire to participate in similar activities in the future. Participants gladly shared their impressions of the visits via written reports which included interesting stories and photographs, and by telling students and employees about their experiences.
Among the most important results of the project is the desire of participants to continue their international adventure and apply for participation in the mobilities again. The participants unanimously claim that their visits abroad broadened their horizons, acquainted them with foreign cultures, helped them polish their interpersonal skills, and helped them overcome a language barrier which, as it turned out, was their internal problem, not an actual issue that impeded communication.
The Academy of Business and Health Sciences greatly benefited from each mobility, because the employees who went abroad left a positive mark in the eyes of the foreign partners and came back with a number of valuable professional contacts. The academic staff had a chance to present their unique skills in foreign classrooms and brought back a number of insightful ideas on how to improve teaching at the Academy of Business and Health Sciences. The administrative staff learned how to be more efficient at organising placements for students and how to manage and maintain international cooperation with partners from a different culture. Each of these lessons was invaluable and has been implemented by the Academy to improve its international strategy.
These positive impressions of the beneficiaries of the project encourage the Academy to make further efforts to expand the network of partner universities and enhance the quality of the mobility offer. The Academy of Business and Health Sciences, despite being a relatively small institution, considers the international context to be one of the most important to the school’s development and will, to the best of their abilities, try to expand their activities to further the internationalization process of the Academy with the help of Erasmus+.
