The CNAM (National Institute of Sciences, Technology and Management) is specialized in in-service training, and doesn't have many institutes or schools where the Erasmus mobility can be set. However, for six years, the Conservatory has been encouraging the mobility of its students and promoting the Erasmus program to those following an initial diploma course which is part of the LMD education system. About the objectives: on the fifteen students mobilities available, fourteen have been granted for the academic year of 2014-2015; ten of which were mobilities for studies and four were mobilities for training. On the nine staff mobilities available, four have been granted; three of which were staff mobilities for teaching and one for training. The participants to the student mobilities were mostly engineers in their fourth or fifth year of studies. The subjects of their programs were centered on sciences and construction engineering: Among the several subjects of the programs were: For the studies mobilities : - Environmental and geomatic engineering - Basic airport planning and design - Sustainable city planning - Land management - Geographical Information systems and cartography For the training mobilities, the students had: - Practical training in aquaculture, with the implementation of a water treatment system, or the implementation of abalone farming - Practical training in topography The professor who took a staff mobility for training had the opportunity to share experiences in order to develop her practice as a researcher. For the others, who had a staff mobility for teaching, they taught students in their fifth year of studies, about mathematics, programmation languages, computational Fluid dynamics (CFD), but also to some on their third year of studies about electronics. The students were between twenty-two and twenty-six years old, and the teachers were from junior (20 years of experience) To conclude, we can say that both students and professors benefited from their mobility, developing their skills and acquiring new academic knowledge in an european environment.
