Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Pädagogische Hochschule OÖ is the largest TE-institution in Austria. Teaching and studying across borders in teacher education has started to move from the fringe of institutional interest to a central challenge at the PH OÖ. The internationalisation strategies embrace two objectives: fostering the exchange and understanding between different educational realities of HEIs located in other countries and making staff and students participate in an international and intercultural study and research community. Every semester about 20-25 part time or full time students from primary/secondary/special TE participate as outgoings in the mobility programme. Special attention is paid to the counselling of vocational TE students and students as parents. Several information events organized during the study year adress to the whole insitution promoting student as well as staff mobility, benefitting from the exchange between ex outgoing and futur ones. At the beginning of each semester an orientation week fosters enounter possibilities for the local and international students. A Buddy system facilitates the international students/teachers to access local living and working conditions. The staff mobility is encouraged – if needed – by linguistic support as well as a good preparation in cooperation with colleagues of the target university. The staff mobility is driven by the interest of cooperation in teaching and exchange in the field of individual specialisations and research topics. To foster internationalisation at home, an optional course for local students in cooperation with colleagues and students from other partner universities, has been taught partly via digital media or via teacher staff mobility. Student and teacher mobility serves also to continue to run a 30 ECTS primary TE-programme which is taught every year with teachers from different partners in each module for an internationally mixed student group (EPTE).
