Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The University of Bologna is a comprehensive higher education institution, with a multicampus structure and with about 84.000 enrolled students, 11 Schools, 33 research departments, 3000 academics and 3000 administrative staff and it is also one of the most internationalised Italian universities. With reference to mobility, it is one of the top five university in Europe in terms of figures of incoming and outgoing exchanged students within the LLP Erasmus Programme and it is also competitive in the management of the mobility flows of the students within large EU – non EU consortia in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus Action II projects. In 2012 the University of Bologna has also adopted an internationalization strategy called “Alma Global 2020” compliant with the fundamental principles of the ECHE. For what concerns mobility, our Erasmus+ policy identifies a list of activities and targets which are strictly connected with the objectives of this project such as: 1. Learning mobility for study and traineeship (credit mobility: target incoming and outgoing students at all cycles; traineeship mobility: target especially 2nd cycle students; vertical mobility: target 2nd and 3rd cycle international degree seeking students, especially in Joint Programmes); 2. Teaching and technical staff mobility and international recruiting (target: academic and administrative staff of different units in order to enhance their internationalization competences and foster the involvement in the international agenda as a basic requirement for modernization and for external outreach); 3. Mobility windows: design of study programmes with mobility windows comprising a wide range of didactic activities aimed at the achievement of specific learning outcomes. This project has been devised and carried out relying on this principles and expertise. It has provided students and staff of the University of Bologna with opportunities of spending a study/traineeship/teaching/training period abroad in the universities and in the companies/bodies of the Erasmus+ programme countries. In fact the University of Bologna has 2100 bilateral agreements with about 600 partners and has arranged traineeships and training opportunities with more than 500 hosting companies/bodies. The aims of the project are: - enhancing the quality of the educational offer for the students of all cycles and all disciplines; - facilitating and simplifying the recognition procedures and increasing the number of the recognized credits of the mobile students, trying to remove all possible obstacles; - enhancing the graduates’ employability; - supporting students in developing language competences and soft skills (such as intercultural skills, working in an international team, ecc); - increasing the number of students and graduates who have carried out an international mobility experience; - promoting the development of a set of skills of academic and administrative staff which could effectively support the internationalization strategy; - improving the quality of cooperation between universities, but also between universities and companies and other relevant bodies. The participants of the project are: • 2017 students of the 1° and 2° cycle of all the 11 Schools • 14 doctoral and specialization schools students • 78 recent graduates • 47 academic staff • 20 administrative staff Students have carried out different activities during their study abroad period: taking classes, sitting exams, preparing thesis work (gathering data and research), doing traineeships in companies, libraries, laboratories. For academic staff, teaching (lessons, seminars) at the partner universities has always been an essential part of the mobility experience, but sometimes the possibility of working in existing research networks or setting up new ones has also been as important as ever for future collaboration. Technical and administrative staff has carried out training periods in the different fields of interest (librarianship, public administration, scientific research, ICT, international relations), has participated in the Erasmus+ staff weeks arranged by partner universities, while technical staff already involved in research teams has had the opportunity of working in interesting international research networks. The main results of the project are: - an increase of the mobility figures both for study and for traineeship, for 1° and 2° cycle and for all disciplines due to a high recognition rate of the mobile students, with an average of about 4.4 credits recognized per month in a.a. 2013-14; - an enhancement of the international profile of the students and graduates linked to an idea of mobility not only as a tool to improve educational quality and employability but also to internationalize curricula (joint degrees, mobility windows); - an enhancement of international cooperation based on a synergic approach with other EU funded programmes.
