Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

With over 5200 students, Epitech is one of the 22 schools and entities of the IONIS Group and is part of its Technology Division. Epitech shares the IONIS Group international strategy as part of the 3 European political missions in the field of education and youth: building the Europe of knowledge, develop a European cultural area and involve citizens in the European construction. This strategy emphasizes the international dimension, the strong development of partnerships with foreign universities, staff mobility and student academic exchanges. Each school of the Group, according to its pedagogical specificities, has built strong links with foreign universities. An international mobility is mandatory for all Epitech students. In 2014-2015, 666 students have spent their fourth academic year abroad in more than forty universities in the world. The students attend Computer Science programs mainly taught in English and have to validate 60 ECTS. As part of the preparation of this academic year abroad, students attend English classes during the three years of their studies at Epitech in France. In addition, Epitech organizes a conference to make them more familiar with intercultural dimension of their studies. The International Office also regularly updates its internal website where students can find all necessary information about all partner universities before their departure: http://tekfeed.epitech.eu/#/. As part of the project, the goals set and the results achieved are the following: 1) Expand the network of our partners in Europe by signing new agreements in order to increase the number of Erasmus seats and offering a potential financial support to the students. Each year, the number of Epitech students studying abroad increases and new agreements are signed. In 2014-2015 we had experienced an increase of 6% regarding the outgoing mobility comparatively to 2013-2014. Moreover, we signed five new agreements, two of which are Erasmus. Today, we have 11 Erasmus agreements being active in terms of mobility. 2) Strengthening links with our existing Erasmus partners. This year, an Erasmus agreement was signed with our partner historically welcoming Epitech students on fee-paying basis (University of Kent). We have strengthened ties with our partners through their participation to our Epitech Innovative Projects Fair taking place in November 2014. We received several professors from our Erasmus partners: Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, Jonkoping University in Sweden and University of Kent in the United Kingdom. 3) Increase the number of incoming Erasmus students at our campus in Paris. In 2012, Epitech welcomed its first international students as part of his Master's level program in English. To continue its international development, Epitech implemented this year two short-term programs : the Winter School in February and the Summer School in July. In 2014-2015, 27 international students were welcomed at Epitech in different types of academic programs, 3 of them being European students. 4) Develop communication and marketing tools in foreign languages. In 2014-2015, the Epitech website has been translated into several European languages. It is now available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and German. The results achieved this year are part of the goals we set in the longer term and contribute to develop the Epitech international visibility and the promotion of French higher education system abroad.
