The objectives of the University of Madeira - UMa were achieved in this project Erasmus 2014-2015, in particular, provide an opportunity for our students and young graduates from an outermost region such as Region of Madeira to make a period of studies and training in a wider space such as the European one, meeting new cultures, new languages, new methods of teaching/learning, so gaining new experiences in personal level as well as in and academic level. The number of participants for Studies and Staff was achieved, although the number of trainees was not achieved due to many renouncements of selected participants due to personal reasons or academic reasons of non recognition (unfortunately, these reasons happens for curricula trainees). Our teachers promoted new contacts in order to propose new agreements (Universidad de Laguna and Universidad de Cádiz ? Spain) and promoted new networks with colleagues from our partner universities, thus attaining the expected results of their teaching assignments. The number of Teachers was overcome because UMa sent one more teacher than approved. The activities of applications and selection of participants followed new procedures from our Rectory. As usual, all contacts with our partner universities were the most excellent and effective ones for the nomination of participants, application procedures, definition of the study plans / internship programmes or teaching assignments / staff training and certification and academic recognition. The results were achieved and the impact attained of a wider dissemination of the new Programme Erasmus + 2014-2021 in particular new destinations and new partner universities, the scholarship?s increase for students and trainees of the Region of Madeira as an Outermost Region of the UE is and will continue to be important for an increment of participants applications in the next academic years, as we may already confirm this for 2015-2016: 30 study participants (4 more than approved) and 5 Teachers (1 more than approved). Regarding the trainees 2015-2016, as opposed to 2014-2015, the grants are being awarded without any problems (which means, without any renouncements so far) with training search sites indicated by our National Erasmus + Agency.
