Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The mobility project enabled both students and staff at Graz University of Technology to gain international experience through Erasmus+ mobility opportunities. 228 inter-institutional agreements wit 163 partner institutions enabled participants to select esteemed partner institutions for their stay abroad and to welcome participants from the partners to come to Graz University of Technology. The mobility project contributes actively to the internationalisation strategy of Graz University of Technology: Creating opportunities for international experience and for internationalisation at home (through an international campus, international classrooms, and intercultural encounters) supports TU Graz's internationalisation strategy, and thus the Erasmus+ project contributes to a large extent to the institution's strategy. The project supported student mobility for studies (134 participants) and traineeships (23 participants), staff mobility for teaching (27 participants) and training (32 participants). While the number of student mobility for studies remains fairly stable, an increase in student mobility for traineeships could be seen. While students prefer to study in non-German speaking countries, most traineeships take the students to Germany/ german businesses. Staff mobility opportunities are mainly used by academic staff (both teaching and training). Non-academic staff members use the Erasmus+ programme mostly for language training, and participation in organised staff weeks. While students tend to spend their Erasmus+ mobility period in the north and south of Europe (Sweden, followed by Finland and Spain), staff mobility is geographically more diverse and balanced.
