The University of Salamanca has been involved continuously in activities related to the Erasmus program since it was launched in 1987. From the beginning, these activities are a very important part of the internationalization strategy of the institution. Internationalization is one of the most important lines in the Strategic Plan of the University of Salamanca which aims to adapt training programs to an international offer , enhancing education in other languages ​​of scientific communication, increase the supply of formal teaching in other languages ​​in the official qualifications of the University, to implement programs of international practices, strengthen the network of training centers abroad and to this end , this Project constitutes a basic tool. This project aims to : - Strengthen the international dimension of the University. - Encourage and increase the numbers of international mobility of all members of the university community. - Promote cooperation with institutions, organizations and companies related to the countries participating in the program. - Support the development of learning and teaching capabilities , both students and teachers. - Support the multilingualism of all members of the university community. The University of Salamanca promotes participation in the activities of this project among all students of all levels, including the teaching staff at the various categories and between the administration and services. In the framework of this project the number of participants was : - Students for training: 23 . - Students for study : 468, of which 355 have been financed from European funds and 113 have been funded through the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. - Teachers Teaching : 133 . - Training Staff: 4 . The University of Salamanca has participated in all actions for which funding was requested (SMS , SMT, STA and STT) . The demand for participation in each of the four actions of the project has been raised and they have covered all the squares of the various calls that have been published. The University of Salamanca has tried to raise awareness of the opportunities for participation in the project using different strategies for dissemination to all members of the university community. Among others, we have used local and regional mass-media , bulletin boards, electronic Internal Bulletin of the University, briefings, leaflets, posters, website, electronic communication, etc. According to this strategy, it has: - Making all members of the University of the importance of participating in activities of international mobility. - Develop new partnerships with foreign partners that have enabled forward with ideas for future collaboration. - Improve knowledge of foreign languages. - Improve the projection of the University of Salamanca internationally. - Attracting students from around the world to our University. - Increase cooperation in the field of other projects financed by Erasmus +.
