Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Students and staff mobility is key in the internationalization policy of the University, as it is considered added value for the academic, as well as professional and cultural growth, and for the achievement of the goals set by Bologna Process. In a territory that has been affected not only by recent economic crisis, but that suffers the isolation from neighboring regions, too, mobility represent a great - and maybe the only - opportunity of growth for local students, for trying to fulfill their goals and hope in a better future as far as their access in the labour market is concerned. The project Erasmus Plus – KA1 is addressed to students who wish to study or do a traineeship period abroad, to teaching staff for performing teaching activities, to non-teaching staff for training purposes. The University of Molise promotes the mobility of all the said components, in the awareness that this is beneficial both for the Institution (e.g., acquisition of good practices and new learning material) and for the non-teaching staff , as it facilitates career advancements. In the academic year 2014/2015 the University has tried to increase the number of the individuals in mobility thanks to a more widespread diffusion all through the Degree Courses and by means of info days on occasion of the publication of notices of competition. The synergy between Erasmus Study Course Coordinators and the administrative office has been fundamental, in so far as it provided useful information both from the academic and administrative viewpoints, and to illustrate the academic offer of the foreign universities and all the aspects related to enrollment procedures. The ppt presentations used are later published on the University website so that all students get to have the basic info to participate to the program. Besides, the brand-new layout of the University website make this fruition even easier. During the meetings, former erasmus students are called to describe their mobility experiences and to give useful tips. In spite of all these initiatives, the number of students has decreased this year: this is certainly due to the low contribution, even with the integrations from the Ministerial funds. On the other hand, the number of the students in mobility for traineeship has increased: the University has also taken part to two different consortia to provide its students with a wider and more varied offer and give them the possibility to gain familiarity with the labour market in an international setting and acquire skills and expertise. In our view, the benefits of the erasmus program are relatable to the curriculum improvement (certified by the Europass mobility certificate), to the acquisition of self-confidence and the higher degree of accessibility to the labour market; some of our former erasmus students have been offered to keep working in the very organization that hosted them during the erasmus traineeship period. In general, they have declared to be more independent and inclined to face the labour market with their own vision and project ideas. Online language course have been very much appreciated by the students in general, even in consideration of the gap that was left by the suppression and later re-establishment of the University Language Center. The services offered to support mobility are several: assistance in administrative matters, online-available information, organization of a course in Italian for foreign Erasmus students, small price meal service, welcome days, housing and assistance services with the help pf local students associations, organization of social events, info booklets in English.
