Higher education student and staff mobility project

The project No. 2014-1-BG01-KA103-000035 is funded by Erasmus+ programme, KA 103 of the European Union. The beneficiary of the projects is the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Svishtov (Bulgaria). The mobility project consists of 10 outgoing mobility flows of staff (training and teaching) and 7 outgoing mobility flows of students. The basic objectives of the project are to: improve the knowledge about the Erasmus+ programme and inform staff and students of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Svishtov (Bulgaria) about the new issues in Erasmus+ programme 2014-2020; make the programme more popular within the academic society and promote European values within them; enhance the international dimension of higher education through cooperation with new HEI from EU; support career development of students and staff; develop a new, demanding and open-minded academic society. As a part of its strategy Erasmus team at the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics has undertaken many different activities to increase the awareness and interest towards the programme within students and staff. Competitions and informational days for both staff and students have been conducted. T-shirts, cups, pencils, and flash drives with Erasmus+ programme logo and slogan have been given as a present to students and staff. Personal meetings with staff and talented students and group discussions with Departmental Erasmus coordinators have been organized by the Centre for the International Cooperation and Projects on a regular base. Departmental Erasmus coordinators's role for student-applicants acquisition is enhanced and strengthened. During the period of project implementation 4 new Erasmus+ contracts has been signed and 17 mobility flows (incl. 7 flows of student and 10 flows of staff) have been accomplished. For the first time students from first, second and third study cycles have been simultaneously participated in the exchange project. As a result of accomplished mobiliites, professional, linguistic, and social skills and competencies have been improved both for students and staff.
