TERMINÉ
Thanks to the previous experience, which has fostered the mobility of thousands of students and also considering the increasing financial support provided by the University, the mobility for individuals represents a useful tool in achieving the key objects of the University within the framework of its internationalization projects.
Concerning the key action of Learning mobility for individuals, UNIMORE pursues levels of international excellence in both teaching and research in accordance with the objectives set by the Bologna Process and the Europe 2020 agenda so to actively contribute to developing the European Higher Education Area, to increasing funds invested in research and technological innovation and to bettering the quality and augment the number of graduates.
In particular the project involved 509 participants, 502 students in both mobility for study (427) and mobility for traineeship (75) and 7 members within the teaching staff mobility. The total budget was enough to cover all the foreseen mobilities. Furthermore the “ zero grant” mobilities both for study and traineeship have been financed through University and Ministerial funds.
In order to develop the project, the University has undertaken the following actions: renewal of the existing bilateral agreements, research of new partnerships, information exchange between partner universities about the didactic offer and the general services offered (such as accommodation, visa assistance, health insurance), definition of the number and types of mobilities, info days during which students have been informed about the different possibilities for the mobility of the individuals, call for participants, selection, linguistic assistance and monitoring throughout all the inbound and outbound steps of the project.
A lot of different activities have been realized in order to spread the different experiences and opportunities for study and training abroad and to raise awareness between institutional and non-institutional actors operating in the area (local authorities, enterprises, associations, media). Examples of such activities available for both the individuals inside and outside the academic community were: Erasmus Info Day, the International Welcome Day, The Career Day, the meeting “l’incontro per andare all’estero per tirocini, studio e lavoro: occasioni ed opportunità”, International Fairs. During all the different steps of the project the students associations have also been involved in order to promote important services like mentoring, buddy, linguistic tandem, social integration.
In order to facilitate the students mobility process we have adopted didactics, financial, linguistic and orientation supports.
If compared to the previous year, the achievements show an increase of the study and training mobilities. The results confirm how the mobility within the internationalization process remains one of the most important tools for all the Higher Education Institutes. In this way the existing co-operations are confirmed and new international co-operations will raise. The study and training mobility both follow a quality trend with participants obtaining and having validated an average of 30 ECTS credits per semester .
In general the participants have expressed positive judgements upon the validity of all the didactic activities and general services offered. These are the commitments of the University according to the ECHE policy.
