Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The National School of Fine Arts in Paris works on a system of studios. These are managed by artists-teachers, this studios are privileged places of questioning, the studio as a laboratory and the starting point for all kind of exploration in various fields (painting, sculpture, multimedia, performance installations ... ). These are also a common place that we share, whose singularity would like to meet in one place students at different stages of their curriculum. This is where the transmission is done, where the students of the first year benefits of the expertise of artists-teachers but also from other years students. It is there that we build up a thought. The particuliarity of Ensba is based on a principle of freedom, enabling the development not only of a look or a theoretical reflection but also a willingness to take responsibility for one self and to get involved in the life of the studio, the school, the Life in society... Each year Ensba sent fifty/sixty students in International Exchanges, including 14 destinations in the Erasmus program. The value of these international exchanges with our partners represents for us an obligatory passage in learning, openness, knowledge of new techniques, new ways of thinking, in the context of globalization and constant transformation of the world. It is becoming increasingly clear that an institution like Ensba can not meet its own context and that it is essential for the young generations to see what is outside of their borders. It seems obvious that these exchanges contribute greatly to educational and professional guidance that a higher education institution should have. These exchanges are to be lived as an experience that allows the eye to redevelop in new maners with curiousity because it stimulates thinking, imagination and invites new approach to each other in the world. The participants in the exchange program are all students in the 4th year (year of submitting their memory) The activities are a set of developed projects in each studio, each student according to their practices and their desire for learning new techniques that will not be available in the Teaching at Ensba. The direct impact on participants is that when they come back they are charged of experiences, emotions, new visions that enrich their artistic practices. An important aspect of the recurrence of these exchanges is that it allows a set of specific information about each schools and allows a better view to better guide students to a place, a country, a culture, of practices beneficial to their development. These various exchanges also allow the creation of a vital international networks in the world of culture and art in particular (we have several young students-artists who exhibit their work examples in other countries created with flax these exchanges).
