Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

As a doctoral and post-doctoral research institute in the Social Sciences, whose mission is to contribute to the intellectual life of Europe through its activities and to influence the development of Europe's cultural and academic heritage in its unity and diversity the institute?s participation in the Erasmus plus programme is assured. Above all, at doctoral level, it aims to support its researchers in pursuing their research interests by enabling them to visit and cooperate with other research institutions where they can discuss and debate their findings with high ranked academics expert in their field. Within this context, it is expected that their participation in the exchange programme will expedite the writing of their doctoral thesis. The participation of staff, although limited, is also based on the same precept - to promote academic learning within and beyond Europe. Thirteen doctoral researchers (outbound) representing eight nationalities participated in the programme during the current year. They were a mixture of historians, lawyers and political scientists. Similarly the inbound researchers. They were fewer in number (only five) but of like profile, all pursuing their doctoral research. There were only two staff mobilities for training but both were concerned with the improvement and promotion of the learning and teaching of academic English. It is not possible to quantify the results of the participating researchers here. All their findings will form part of their doctoral thesis. But not only, as a result of their studies, they will publish working papers and articles. They will take part in conferences worldwide where they will voice their opinions. They will have an impact on academia worldwide both in the short and long term. Their findings will be part of our cultural heritage.
