TERMINÉ
The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music has participated in the Socrates/Erasmus/LLP/Erasmus+ programs since 1999. According to the Erasmus policy and previous practice, our institution has applied for SMS/STA/STT mobilites. We aimed to achieve higher level knowledge, enhance the quality of education, expand the number of student mobilities, and build regional relations between higher education instituions and the business sector. We endeavored to utilize opportunities provided by Erasmus+ to achieve our goals.
The quality of bilateral agreements between our instituion and partner institutions have improved and become more elaborate and informative. Also, we made sure to seek new partners as well in both old and new EU countries. In the academic year 2014/2015, the Liszt Academy had 93 bilateral agreements. We increased the number of outbound mobilities, which was facilitated by the new Erasmus+ that enabled students who have already been granted the Erasmus scholarship to apply for another mobility in their new study program/level. The number of students with Hungarian nationality living outside Hungary as incoming students at the Liszt Academy also increased.
In the framework of the IP, a very useful and interesting program entitled Ovid?s Metamorphoses Erasmus Intensive Program was organized in the summer of 2014 connecting European higher education institutions. There are plans to continue the collaboration in the near future.
Incoming students and staff have equal academic treatment and services for home students and staff, like using library, no fees, using practising room, concert hall, etc.
Futhermore, in the fall of 2014, the annual AEC (Association Européenne des Conservatoires) congress with 130 European and non-European participants was held in the newly restored Main Building of the Liszt Academy. In the framework of the Erasmus+ international credit mobility, the Liszt Academy applied for bilateral cooperation and was granted two partnerships with Georgian and Israeli institutions.
In general, it can be stated that the Erasmus+ programs raised the interest of many new students to spend exchange periods in instituions abroad, which can also be expected in the future too.
