TERMINÉ
During this first year of the Erasmus Plus Programme, the University of Turin respected the principles and the policies of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and met the objectives of the Erasmus grant agreement with our National Agency.
The University of Turin has namely made mobility and cooperation the central elements of its institutional policy, further developing the cooperation with its EU partners in the framework of the Erasmus Plus Programme and promoting and supporting student and staff mobility.
Through the cooperation with programme countries, for the academic year 2014/2015 we met our mobility objectives by having:
- 905 outgoing students for studies
- 176 outgoing students for traineeship
- 474 incoming students between studies and traineeship
- 35 staff mobilities for teaching and training
In particular, in comparison to the previous academic year, we consistently increased the number of outgoing students for traineeship, thanks to additional national funding.
According to the ECHE guidelines, our Institution has:
- carried out mobilities only within the framework of prior agreements between Institutions
- organised the selection of mobile staff and students and awarded the grants in a fair, coherent and documented way, ensuring equal treatment to all participants
- ensured that outgoing mobile students are well prepared for the mobility, by selecting them according to their level of linguistic proficiency and to the languages requirement of the hosting institution and by organising information sessions during the call and for selected students
- ensured that student and staff mobility for education or training purposes is based on a learning agreement for students and a mobility agreement for staff validated in advance
- provided supplementary support and tutoring for participants with special needs
- offered additional financial support for all outgoing study mobilities, with an additional grant based on students' economic background
- ensured full recognition for satisfactorily completed activities of study mobility and, where possible, traineeship and issued the Diploma Supplement including record of the Erasmus mobility
- provided practical assistance for incoming participants (visa, residence permit, free insurance, support in finding accommodation, free Italian language courses)
- published on the Institution's website an updated Course Catalogue for the academic year 2014/2015 and dedicated webpages in Italian and English for all the mobility participants.
Finally, the University of Torino aims at creating its own Erasmus Digital Archive, so that former participants in the Erasmus programme can share their experiences with future ones. This archive will be our Institution’s means of dissemination and exploitation of the Erasmus Programme experience and results on a long-term basis.
