Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

With the new European convention the IFSI has implemented a policy promoting international motilities. The goal is to foster desire to move abroad for studying as the nursing students are more and more interesting in doing internships. We have developed a close partnership with Cagliari’s University with which we have a real reciprocity in students’ mobility during semesters. We have noticed that the time abroad contributes to: • Having a better understanding of the European training systems • Trialling different teaching methods • Better understanding the host country’s culture • Developing adaptability and open-minded skills amongst students • Understanding nursing care in a different culture • Developing learning strategies that facilitate their progress The internship mobility allows students to live a real training experience abroad over a shorter period of time. The objectives being to develop the professional skills. The project included : • 4 students abroad over 16 months • 1 student abroad for 3 months So far we have completed : • 7 students abroad for 16 months • 2 students abroad for 8 months The 2 trainings abroad achieved were included in the project. However the number of days is 2 days higher. These trainings abroad are within a partnership programme and have allowed strengthening the skills in the studied fields. Additionally our programs have allowed students to open to new teaching methods. We also want to encourage the teachers moving abroad which has been made possible. The training mobility took place with the participation of the international relationship service of a partner university. The goals were to: • Understand how this service works • Understand the implementation process of ERASMUS projects • Exchange on mobility strategies Furthermore, working time has been dedicated to accompany the foreign students in order to improve in and out movements. During the mobility the selection results have been announced to students, which allowed some time to inform the students selected by our IFSI. This has been really liked by the students who received the information from our French trainers. All these mobilities have a strong impact on the dynamism of our IFSI, with the students as well as with the training team. The students are very enthusiastic and find these experiences very rich not only professionally but also personally. They met people who gave them a very warm welcome. It’s also interesting for the students to observe the teachers committing to that type of projects, which creates an experience sharing dynamic, fostering people’s development. Once the students are back the experiences are shared with all the other students in order to share these training moments encouraging them to express their project and setting ERAMUS in a long term training continuity.
