Erasmus+ Key Action "Mobility of Individuals" activities at Groupe ESC Dijon Bourgogne include Higher education student mobility for studies, placements, staff mobility for teaching and staff mobility for training.
STUDENT MOBILITY FOR STUDIES (SMS)
Student mobility for studies is an important part of the School's two main degree programmes, mandatory for the Grande Ecole programme students and strongly encouraged for the Bachelor students. The minimum requirement for the Grande Ecole programme is one semester abroad, at first cycle level or second cycle level depending on the year of study, and students can also study abroad during their final year in a partner University to obtain a Double degree at second cycle level. Bachelor students have the option of studying abroad for one semester at first cycle level or spend their final year in a partner University on a Double degree programme at first cycle level.
The aims of this experience for students is to increase employability, to gain the experience of living and studying in another country, to cultivate values of openness, tolerance and responsibility, contributing to the School's mission to train future managers who are internationally focused, entrepreneurial and responsible.
In this project, 127 students benefitted from studying in our Erasmus partner institutions, which represents 44% of the total number of students studying abroad internationally. The feedback in this report shows that the students were very satisfied with their time spent abroad. 88% of outgoing students and 96.91% of incoming students were either very satisfied or fairly satisfied with their overall experience. In terms of impact, the feedback from this scheme shows that students found that the main skills they learnt whilst abroad were; better understanding of different cultural values; being more open-minded; the ability to adapt to a new environment; better understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses and increased self-confidence.
STUDENT MOBILITY FOR PLACEMENTS (SMP)
Student mobility for work placements enables our students to undertake a work placement in a number of European countries, in this project primarily in Luxemburg and the United Kingdom. As the majority of work placements are not well paid or not paid at all, Erasmus+ offers our students the opportunity of work experience in a European country as well as the opportunity to improve your knowledge of a foreign language. In this project, 29 students benefitted from a work placement abroad. The feedback in this report shows that the students were very satisfied with the experience. 96.55% of students were either very satisfied or fairly satisfied with their overall experience. In terms of impact, the feedback from this scheme shows that students found that the main skills they learnt whilst abroad were; improved analytical, critical and logical thinking; improved teamwork skills particularly in multicultural environments; increased independence; better problem solving skills in difficult situations; better understanding of their own abilities; greater self-confidence and open-mindedness.
STAFF MOBILITY (STT)
Our Human Resources departments' policy encourages and integrates the mobility of teaching and administrative staff. In this project, 5 teachers and 2 members of administrative staff benefitted from this mobility. The feedback in this report shows 100% total satisfaction for both the incoming and outgoing teaching and administrative staff. In terms of impact, the results from this scheme show that the staff found that the main skills they acquired whilst abroad were greater job satisfaction, developing new learning techniques or teaching methods, improving social, language and cultural skills and strengthening relationships with the partner institution.
