Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Hungarian Dance Academy is internationally recognized in the field of dance education. The Erasmus+ programme gives us an outstanding possibility to be able to improve our international relations, as our students, teachers and administrative colleagues can visit our partners and can spend their professional practices at foreign companies. The realization of the project was based on the Academy?s Erasmus+ Charter and the application for the Erasmus+ Higher Education mobility programme for the academic year 2014/2015. The coordination of the Erasmus+ programme is managed by the Academy?s strategic management, art manager and the international rapporteur in strong cooperation, with the repartition of tasks. In the framework of Erasmus+ programme we realized mobility projects with 3 higher education institutes from our bilateral contacts (based on valid Erasmus+ bilateral agreements), furthermore with 4 other institutions (theatre, association, foundation ? practice places) in the academic year 2014/2015. The Academy sent 6 students, among them 3 newly graduated students, for Erasmus+ traineeship mobility, 3 teachers participated in teaching mobility and 1 teacher arrived to the Academy from a foreign institute, and 7 staff mobility programmes were realized in the academic year 2014/2015. Unfortunately due to the specialities of art education the planned 2 student mobilities for studies could not be realized so the grant received for that was transferred to traineeships, where the planned number of mobility was also 2, but the 26 months spent abroad by the outgoing 6 students were more than the originally planned 24 months for studies and traineeships together. The newly graduated students spent their traineeship mobility at companies. Supporting them gave a great chance to start their professional career, as it is not easy to find a job even for graduated ballet artists, and it seems they work was successful and they could stay at these companies. The two other ballet artist students gained remarkable professional knowledge, furthermore they studied teaching and event organization at our German partner university. Our last year dance teacher student could examine dance teaching in a truly international environment. Our teachers spent their teaching mobility in the Netherlands and Germany, where they taught 8-8 hours, examined different teaching methodologies and made new contacts. The lecturer who visited us taught our students in 28 hours. Our teachers mostly had BA students during their mobility periods, but some of them had MA students also in their classes. At these classes our teachers gained a lot of experience on the skills and knowledge of students in other academies, universities, so now they can compare our students with other foreign students. They could also observe other teachers? classes, attend performances, rehearsals and they could see the management and organization, teaching at other institutions. This means that they can recommend these academies to our students as a mobility destination, and the students of the outgoing teachers are already more interested in the Erasmus+ mobility programme for the academic year 2015/2016. Besides administrative staff, teachers also participated in staff mobility for training with the aim of making new contacts, enhancing already existing cooperation, realizing new projects, exchanging experiences, finding out good practices, and examining methodologies. These goals were reached, we have several new professional contacts, and the old ones are strengthened by new projects. The outgoing staff gained knowledge for the comparison of our and other institutions? teaching and administrative work, and the good practices are being included in their work. Overall we can see that the Erasmus+ programme gives a great opportunity to the Academy to realize our aims in the internationalization process, as we can reach our existing and potential partners also, and we can show ourselves internationally. Unfortunately we did not receive any incoming students, so the work of outgoing teachers is very important to attract foreign students to the Academy.
