Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project has involved students? and staff?s mobility to HEI institutions in Partner Countries members of ERASMUS+ frame project. The HEI beneficiary of the grants, is a music conservatory whose main purpose is to finalize the future musicians? training, as soloists and/or orchestral musicians. With this aim, it becomes clear the importance of comparison and completeness of the educational and professional training at HEI in other countries whose quality standards are appropriate and the training objectives shared by the Conservatory of Cosenza. It is crucial for an outstanding training to have the possibility to offer a 360-degree view of the music scenario also in international contexts throughout the academic year. The main objective has therefore been to offer students a comparison tool in terms of music interpretation and teaching skills, thanks to the opportunity to benefit of teachers coming from different backgrounds, with different technical, educational and interpretive abilities, who have given their contribution in training musicians in a European dimension. The main objective of teachers? and staff?s mobility, has been the implementation of mutual exchange of new teaching techniques as well as good administrative practice, among institutions that have expressed interest in the projects proposed. Four students enrolled at academic courses of I and II level took part to the mobility project, as well as six teachers and eight members of staff. The students studied at HEIs in Austria, Germany, Spain and Latvia, while the teachers and staff went to HEIs located in Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Poland and the UK. At their return, students reported a noticeable improvement in their musical performances, due to the great experience of studying abroad. This experience has led to a better optimization of the learning activities, due to the natural competitiveness which arises in international contexts with students coming from different countries and different institutions.
