Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

One of the basic pillars of Université d’Auvergne’s strategy is a strong focus on international, via different pathways, such as participation in international networks, intervention of professors from partner universities, student mobilities, numerous applications from international degree-seeking students (around one fifth of our students), the implementation on double or multiple degrees, participation in doctoral conferences and in international research programmes. Since the first Erasmus programme, Université d’Auvergne faculties have signed an ever-growing number of inter institutional agreements, while ensuring they all remain active. The Erasmus+ project 2014-2015 is a central tool for exchanging students; it is a natural component of UdA’s strategy. Through Erasmus + programme, the target is to develop a sense of European citizenship among the students, and to better prepare them to the international labour market with the discovery of other cultures and the improvement of their proficiency in at least one other language. As for teaching mobilities, the expected output is an enrichment of our offer thanks to Erasmus partners’ teaching interventions, the implementation of common research work potentially leading to the production of common papers, a better knowledge of the partners’ activities leading to the creation of joint, double or multiple diplomas. Student mobilities in 2014-2015 : • 69 incoming students distributed mainly in the bachelor’s and master’s degrees of the tertiary domain. They attend courses taught in French or in English, the offer in English is increasing every year. • 76 outgoing students mainly to partners in Spain, Germany, UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Turkey… Teaching mobilities : 11 professors benefited from an outgoing teaching mobility, and ten professors from partner universities have been teaching in UdA different departments. Most outgoing students have obtained the expected ECTS, and have validated their semester or year of studies. Ten new inter-institutional agreements have been signed during this 2014-2015 project. Following the outgoing teaching mobilities of four School of Management professors to Palacky University, Olomouc, Czech Republic, both institutions have implemented a double master’s degree in business management, which has just opened last September. A Palacky University professor’s Erasmus + mobility at the school of economics was the opportunity to initiate a European master’s project, that will receive concrete form in 2016. The University of Pavia, Italy, a new Erasmus + partner of UDA, is part of the consortium of European universities in this European master project.
