In Academic Year 2013/2014 Budapest Business School ranked sixth among the Hungarian HEIs as regards student mobility numbers. In Academic Year 2014/2015 these numbers were planned to be similar to those of the previous year, namely, 267 students. In Academic Year 2014-5 144 students took part in the student mobility for studies program and 78 students in the student mobility for placement program while 20 teachers and 17 administrative staff took part in the teacher/staff mobility program realized in cooperation with 73 partner institutions. A positive trend did emerge though. The number of students doing their placement abroad was higher than planned: 78 students instead of 61. The overall mobility grant amounted to 561851 euro. However, due to changes in student composition, only an overall number of 222 students took part in the mobility scheme. Compared to the previous year’s figure this number was lower by 45 students. As of Academic Year 2014/2015, the number of students having to pay tuition fees has increased significantly. Today some 82% of Budapest Business School students pay tuition fees, as a result of which, fewer students can afford to go abroad to study, despite scholarship support. In order to encourage students to take part in the scholarship scheme, the institution gives fee-paying students a 45% tuition fee reduction during the semester they spend abroad. Taking advantage of the opportunities provided by Erasmus+ , some 5% of students who had previously been granted a study mobility scholarship, applied again to take part in the Erasmus student mobility for studies program and pursued another semester’s studies at another or the same partner institution. Most outgoing Erasmus students study or do their placement at partner institutions in Germany or France. A positive development of the past academic year is the increasing number of academic staff taking part in the Erasmus mobility programme. Last academic year 20 academic staff taught at one of our partner institutions. The number of administrative staff taking part in the mobility scheme was 17. In Academic Year 2014/2015 Budapest Business School received 270 incoming students mostly from partner institutions in Fance, Spain and the Netherlands. The number of incoming students has been steadily increasing since Academic Year 201/2013. BBS received 32 academic staff and 5 administrative staff.
