TERMINÉ
Internationalization has been an important issue for Karoly Robert Colllege since the establishment of the institution in 2003.The College first participated in Erasmus Programme from the academic year 2005/2006 within the framework of Lifelong Learning Programme, and was awarded a Standard University Charter and from the academic year 2012/2013 an Extended University Charter providing the background to apply for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for the period 2014-2020. Having been awarded the ECHE, Karoly Robert College committed itself to respect fundamental principles provided by the European Commission, such as non-discrimination by ensuring equal access and opportunities to all mobile participants, full recognition of their satisfactorily completed mobility.
Having been involved in Erasmus+ KA1 ? Learning Mobility of Individuals (action type: 103 ? Higher Education student and staff mobility) Programme enabled Károly Róbert College to fulfil one if its key objectives in the long term strategy: internationalisation by maintaining and also developing both the quality and the quantity of mobility activities and increasing the number of bilateral agreements. It has always been important to raise the institution?s international profile through partnerships and recruitment, while continuing to maintain and increase the number of mobility activities. In the institution?s development strategy, the improvement of both teaching and learning languages is a major objective as it leads towards linguistic diversity.
In the academic year 2014/2015 the total number of outgoing mobile participants was 31, out of which 6 students took part in mobility for studies and 3 students took part in mobility for traineeship activities. The profile of the students was mainly Business and Administration (6 students, and 3 student participants came with Agricultural background. The ratio perfectly reflects the profile of Karoly Robert College. The number of students participating in the Programme was less than it had previously been planned by the institution, and the reason is that Karoly Robert College had to experience a huge drop in the number of full-time students in the actual academic year and also in the previous years.
The number of staff mobility for teaching was 12 and the number of staff mobility for training was 10, adding up to a total of 22 participants being involved in staff mobility. The majority of staff for training undertook work-shadowing activities at the receiving partner institutions.
The outputs of the mobiltiy activities carried out have always been disseminated in order to spread the results and to contribute to the implementation of a European system. Results such as knowledge and experience gained, better language skills, increased skills and cultural awareness have been recognized and disseminated at meetings, public events and through existing contact networks.
