As one of the newest universities of Turkey, Nuh Naci Yazgan (NNY) University was officially founded by Kayseri Higher Education and Social Aid Foundation in 2009. Although Nuh Naci Yazgan University is newly founded, the supporting foundation exhibits unyielding determination in supporting social, cultural and health related projects and activities since 1972. This includes grants to outgoing teaching staff and students. As one of the biggest university in the region Erciyes University still recognize the initial efforts of the Kayseri Higher Education and Social Aid Foundation in its early years with deep gratitude. With this esteemed experience and unrelenting determination it is no doubt NNY University will fulfill its academic vision which is to become a world-class university by providing education of the highest standards. In this respect providing a more diversified and internationalized academic experience for students and academic staff to get a stronger position among other Turkish universities is the top priority of NNY University. With the Erasmus activities we try to make our students and our academic staff benefit educationally, linguistically and culturally from the experience of learning in other European countries. As part of its strategic plan, the University is committed to increasing excellence in teaching and research and will seek to establish foster links with leading research institutions in Europe and beyond. It is well recognized that full integration to Bologna Process is the key part of this achievement; consequently progress is being made to adapting to and employing the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) system of credit transfer as envisioned in the Bologna accord as well as bringing in the Diploma Supplement for students who request it. NNY University is stared education in 2011-2012. NNY University International Office is coordinating the implementation of the long-term goals indicated in the Strategic Plan of NNY University. Academic vision of NNY University is to become a world-class university by internationalization of education and research to achieve highest standards. In order to coordinate and encourage internal communication meetings are held on regular bases. The International Office is directly linked to the Rector, Prof. Dr. K. GÜNEY, and provides a wide range of services: - Organization of students and staff for ERASMUS, Mevlana and Farabi activities. - Specialist support services for students and academic visitors from abroad. - Management of bilateral agreements and incorporation into the Education and Training Programs. - Issuing ETCS and Diploma Supplements in accord with the European Union Bologna Process. - Promoting world-wide recognition of NNY University. In coherence with the academic vision NNY University aims to develop its partnerships with research-intensive institutions worldwide. In order to do this, the University has already established an Erasmus Office coordinated by the Rector himself. The Office undertakes the responsibility to contact universities with an Erasmus Charter in Europe to sign new exchange agreements. Erasmus activities including the organization of all Erasmus applications and preparation of the Erasmus Policy Statement are coordinated by Erasmus Office together with participants from all faculties. Currently, NNY University has connections with 9 countries 27 universities with more than 40 faculties. In this project, NNY University send 18 student mobility and 2 staff mobility. Only 5 departments of NNY are capable University of participating in this project due to its new establishment. Based on the successful participation of students in Erasmus+ programme following years 11 departments will participate.
