The International Telematic University UNINETTUNO takes origin from the didactic model of NETTUNO Consortium, involving 43 Italian and foreign universities, and exploits the results of the EU funded Med Net’U Project, involving 31 Universities of 11 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean Area. For this reasons, internationalization has always been a core activity of the University. Nowadays, the University has obtained unquestionable results such as students coming from more than 140 countries in the world, the first didactic portal where it is possible to teach and learn in 4 languages (Italian, English, French and Arabic) and important international agreements with several countries. Due to the role that internationalization has in University strategy, the mobility activities represent a relevant opportunity to pursue this objective. For this reason, Uninettuno takes part to different mobility actions, involving European and non-EU countries. The main objective of the participation to these mobility programs in general and to the present project in particular is to increase the quality of its academic offer and its international cooperation level, according the Erasmus Policy Statement and the strategic guidelines of the Board of Directors of the University. This general objective is pursued in particular by: - increasing the number of bilateral agreements with foreign HEIs; - promoting the benefits that international mobility can bring to the students’ careers, in order to constantly increase the number of mobility for study and for traineeship every year; - promoting the opportunities of international mobility among its academic staff, in order to establish new international collaborations; - encouraging qualified staff members from other countries to visit the University. With specific reference to the project realized in the academic year 2014/15, the main objective was to substantially increase the number of mobility actions with respect to the previous academic year, which was the first one of involvement in the Erasmus mobility. The result can be considered successful, since 7 students have moved for study and for the first time 5 students have moved for traineeship. The University has also hosted a foreign student for traineeship and has started to re-arrange in order to host students for study too, starting from the a.y. 2015/16. Regarding the staff mobility, 3 professors from Uninettuno have moved abroad and 15 have visited the University. Attached to the present report there is a detailed analysis with statistics related to the implemented action. The result is relevant considering that the International Mobility Office doesn’t have a daily face-to-face relationship with the students. So, alternative communications solutions have been adopted (emails, meetings during the exam sessions, video conferences, web and social networks). Information about the program, including destinations and deadlines, have been currently updated on the University website. All the students applying for a mobility have been individually supported in the preparation of all the required documents and in the relationships with the host Universities and companies. In order to ensure that all of them have attained an adequate linguistic level, an OLS has been provided to all the outgoing students. In addition, when the OLS was not available yet, the University has made available its own online linguistic courses and an additional live tutoring in Spanish, due to the higher request. The International Mobility Office has supported the incoming students and staff in finding an accommodation and in overcoming any logistic problem. Finally, the University has provided an insurance to all the outgoing students and has directly supported one student moving to Turkey in order to get the visa. The International Mobility Office has been in contact with the students during their stay abroad, in order to monitor them and to act properly in case of necessity. Finally, the International Mobility Office has taken care of the administrative aspect after the conclusion of the mobility, ensuring the full recognising of the ECTS obtained abroad. In terms of direct impact, although a higher number of activities had been planned, the overall result is considered successful. The main objective to constantly increase the mobility actions has been met. Wide visibility of the activities carried out by the incoming and outgoing students and staff has been given through the web and on social networks. Additionally, the lectures taken by the visiting academic staff has allowed improving the quality of the University academic offer. The International Mobility Office has acquired new competences and skills, useful to be more effective in the next years. Finally, all the mobility actions have allowed the University to sign new bilateral agreements and establish new international collaborations, useful for both research and didactics.
