Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The UPM has been a member of the ERASMUS mobility program in Spain since its inception. It became part of the Erasmus Charter during the period 2007 -2013. The UPM higher education student and staff mobility program is contained within the quality framework of European and international collaboration activities as set out in the Higher Education Erasmus Charter (ECHE). The main objectives of the project are, on the one hand, innovation and quality in mobility activities, and, on the other, the consolidation of the level of participation of the students together with the increase in the quality of the mobility as a result the increasing culture of internationalization in mobility in staff training and teaching. In this way, the project is integrated into the objectives of the strategic plan for internationalization of the UPM (inclusion in the budgets of the UPM, consolidation of the organisational chart for work positions in the international area and lines of strategic activities as regards the development of capacities and structural modernisation) There have been a total number of 1,019 students and 37 staff participating in mobility for training and teaching, from which, 122 of which have been students from disadvantaged backgrounds and 18 graduates have carried out work practice through the ERASMUS+ Program. The mobility program comprises the following phases: 1.- Preparation: This phase begins with the formalization or renewal of the institutional agreements with new member universities. To guarantee the basic principles of publicity, competition transparency and objectivity, a call for mobility places is published. After that the students that have achieved the adjudication criteria are selected (evaluation of their academic records, suitable linguistic accreditation and the specific academic criteria of the different UPM Centres). The Vice-Rector’s Office for International Relations manages PROLINTER (Programa de Lenguas para la Internacionalización (Language Program for Internationalization)), a language program to prepare students for mobility (English, French, etc) together with an internal accreditation test in the language demanded for the mobility so that the student is able to provide it together with the application for a place in the ERASMUS+ call. If the student does not have documental proof to justify the level, we offer them the possibility to do an external accreditation test: TOEIC (English) or TFI (French) in the corresponding call, or participate in the Pruebas de Capacitación Lingüística (Linguistic Ability tests) in the languages demanded. These tests are free and exclusive for participating in the Mobility Programs of the UPM and their validity is exclusive to those destination centres who will accept them as justification of the linguistic ability of the candidates. In this way, the support given to the participants in the mobility activities is reinforced in order to improve their skills in the foreign language before their stay. 2.- Implementation of the mobility tasks: The management and coordination of the mobility of the participants, before, during and after their stay is the responsibility of the International Mobility Office of the Vice-Rector’s Office (OMI). The OMI coordinates its activities with different international offices located in the different UPM Centres. 3.- Monitoring the project: Together with the evaluation of the activities, there is a formal system for the recognition of credits implemented by the Governing Council of the UPM. The different centres of the UPM are responsible for the academic recognition of the activities carried out during the mobility. The results of the project are fundamentally the knowledge and experience acquired by the student, the member universities and our own structural organization in the international area. The dissemination and use of the results form part of the planning of all communications activities of this university in order to obtain the greatest advantage from the resources available. In this way, we achieve the desired impact, that is, that the activities that we carry out in the project have repercussions on our participants and the member universities in the future. As regards the way the project is disseminated, the Web page of the UPM, notice boards in all of the centres, social networks, e-mail and posters are used. Information sessions are held in the Centres every year to guide the students interested on carrying out mobility within the Program. Likewise the results of the Mobility Program are disseminated by means of the different international activity reports sent to the highest body for representation in the university community, which is the Faculty.
