Higher education student and staff mobility project
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The ERASMUS+ Programme is the most important and popular mobility programme for Hochschule Emden/Leer and it generates the majority of mobilities from and to our university. This includes the area of student mobility as well as staff mobility (inbounds and outbounds respectively). There were positive effects on the internationalization process of our university as well ("internationalization at home"), which is an important target of our internationalization strategy. The mobility flows corresponded as far as possible to the EPS. Several mobilities to many important partners, with whom we work together in many Networks took place. The number of 95 reported mobilities corresponded nearly exactly to the 99 granted mobilities. The ERASMUS+ programme was open to all interested students and staff without any restrictions. The carried out activities were SMS, SMP, STA1, STA2, STT1, and STT2. Especially worth mentioning is the interdisciplinary International Staff Training Week, which takes place successfully every second year at Hochschule Emden/Leer (also May 2015). The same is true for the International Project Week at the Faculty of Business Studies which is organized once a year: Students from Hochschule Emden/Leer benefit from international lectures carried out by teachers from European partner institutions. Through the available OS grant we organized linguistic and cultural preparation for inbounds as well as for outbounds. Additionally, we created and distributed information material for the ERASMUS+ programme. Furthermore, external cooperation partners like the city of Emden and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce could be integrated. With all these measures the visibility of the ERASMUS+ programme could be increased. The introduction of the OLS tests and OLS language courses was also very useful because a supplemantary linguistic preparation raises the chance for a succesful mobility period abroad.
