Since many years the Erasmus-programme – mobility for individuals is a successful programme to promote European exchange between the University of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg and our partner universities. This programme helps us to realising the aims, defined in our Internationalisation Strategy: dissemination of inter-cultural competences and inter-cultural experiences to our students, which must assert oneself in a global world and a global job market after their studies. Our target is to increase the number of students with international experiences and inter-cultural competences, to offer our professors possibilities for international research and interchanges and to offer international exchange, qualification and training for our staff. In 2014 there were 20 persons from our university at partner institutions or other companies abroad. One positive effect was to reduce the minimum stay for traineeships to 2 weeks. Definitly, we must increase the publicity of the Erasmus+ programme at our university more and more. One possibility is to bring information about this exchange programme to all new students during their first week at our university.
