Due to the geographical location of ISAL ? Madeira Island ? right in the Atlantic, we do consider of vital importance our participation in the ERASMUS+ programme, once this is one of the most adequate means to achieve our goals and, in particular, to the transnational cooperation among university institutions and organizations, to the development of intercultural exchange, creativity and innovation, competition and entrepreneurship, not forgetting the indispensable contribution to the recognition of academic studies and degrees in all the Community and their impact on Europe?s modernization. Besides contributing to the reinforcement of the European higher studies dimension, and to understanding the international cooperation as a relevant aspect nowadays, ISAL participation is, without doubt, a guarantee of the quality of the activities performed at all levels in the institution. Within the Erasmus+ programme, ISAL will maintain as main priority the mobility of students for periods of studies, teachers and staff, being it followed by the mobility of students doing the traineeships according to the plans for the first cycles of studies. It is equally our intention to be able to participate in multilateral projects. We received and sent students through the Erasmus+ program and they were very pleased during and after the mobility. We are very satisfied with the reported by the students and we will always work towards the satisfaction of our participants. This year was positive, as we are taking good steps towards a better participation. Our aim is always to improve and increase the mobility of students and staff and to increase the number of university partners.
