The University joins the ERASMUS+ Programme sharing its goals to promote the development of a knowledge-based society with sustainable economic development, to contribute to the development of quality lifelong learning and to encourage the best use of results and good practices that assure quality, to reinforce the contribution of learning to personal fulfillment, development of creativity, competitiveness, and employability and to improve the attractiveness and accessibility of education, The cooperation between partner institutions should lie at the intersection of education, research and innovation. SULSIT strives to utilize the various actions in Erasmus + to a wider extent and considers the programme a strategic tool for supporting the achievement of a European Area of Higher Education: with more European partners and harmonization of study programs. One of SULSIT basic goals within the Erasmus + is to support creating European citizenship based on understanding and respect for human rights and democracy, cultural diversity and dialogue and the need to combat all forms of discrimination based on sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion, prejudice and xenophobia. SULSIT is committed to the priorities of Erasmus program and will improve the quality and quantity of mobility and the quality and quantity of cooperation with universities It will increase the degree of transparency and compatibility between higher education qualifications: by using ECTS and European diploma supplement. The current situation of State University of Library Studies and Information Technologies’s international co-operation is dynamic and progressively developing. This co-operation is based on Inter-institutional Agreements, participation in different international projects, initiatives and frameworks. Our University has signed several frame agreements with foreign universities and institutions. Mobility strategy of SULSIT focuses on the improvement of university attractiveness for foreign partner institutions as well as on extension of the out-going offer. The main goal of SULSIT participating in Erasmus programme is to enable students and academic teachers to improve the qualifications and benefit from international experiences, cultural recognition and various educational methodologies at universities and companies participating in the programme.
