Date du début: 20 juin 2014, Date de fin: 20 déc. 2014 PROJET  TERMINÉ

International youth exchange "High Five for Cheerful Life: Fight Against Apathy" is 11th event of series of annual international exchanges under the common title EYES: European Youth—European Summit. EYES takes place once a year in different european countries. In 2014 the honour of hosting EYES is on us, the Estonian UNESCO Youth Association. As EYES initially was started by a group of schools and later the pattern of partnership expanded on youth NGOs, nevertheless, people who have been organisers and partners of EYES know modern youth very well, meeting it every day, providing support and guidance, keeping eye on trends and tendencies in youth field. This year trend to address and the main topic of EYES in Estonia is innovative leisure time activities as approach to combat youth passiveness and apathy. The main objective of this exchange to have an impact on overall situation of disinvolvement and passive attitude towards life which is persisting in the youth field. In order to achieve that we invite our partners and their youth to come together, to have an overview of this trend across Europe and to see how this situation is treated in different communities by means of leisure time design. We want participants to bring this examples with them and to share with everyone, so everyone could have a live experience and could become aware not only about countrywise approaches but global problem we are fighting with. The exchange is designed in the way that allows participants to get involved into it not just for actual exchange, but also on preparational and follow-up phase, which include the whole bunch of activities and tasks, all leading to reaching the common goal of the exchange. For the period from 22nd to 30th September 2014, the exchange will bring together 36 young people and 15 group leaders/teachers/community workers from 9 European countries. Participants of the exchange are partially representing youth with fewer opportunities, mainly, of social, but also educational, cultural and ethnical backgrounds. Methodology of the project includes research, interaction with peers, collecting and presenting information, organisation and participation in live presentationss and workshops, side visits, outdoor activities, cultural events, lots of learning and reflection, planning future, exploiting new knowledge in home environment and a lot of communication and collaboration. The impact of the exchange starts on the participants themselves, their new knowledges and skills they are going to obtain and later share with their peers and through that their local communities will also benefit. Regarding impact on partners, this will be done on the level of networking and cooperation among organisations, as we have sucessfully done during previous EYES events. Special impact will be done on planning next EYES and side events, depending on interest of participants with full support from their organisations.
