The objectives of the project are: • To transfer and further develop the ParcInterp innovation–“Quality Standards in Heritage Interpretation” (created by the German Institute for Heritage Interpretation), to three EU countries - France, Greece and Bulgaria,and to execute training for professional performance of the target groups of mountain, tourism and museum guides. • To introduce training in quality standards for heritage interpretation in VET training curriculum of partners’ countries, and • To stimulate development of professional skills corresponding to the needs of sectors related to natural and cultural heritage.The European dimension of the project is represented by partners from five European countries: Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece and Italy. Each partner has an important role to play. German partner is responsible for methodology transfer and trainings; Bulgarian partners, as being involved with SME’s, related to heritage (tourism, cultural industries, etc.), local and regional planning and development - will accommodate ParcInterp system into their practice and the ISO certified VET training center; Greek and French partners will enhance their instrumentarium; Italian partner will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of project deliverables, to safeguard the quality of the outcomes and results.Main outcomes: Introduced quality standards in heritage interpretation in partners’ countries; Introduced innovative approach in VET training for quality heritage interpretation of mountain, tourism & museum guides; Certified interpretive agents and trained interpretive guides from receiving countries; A manual for interpreters in six languages; HeriQ Best practices booklet; website, publications, interviews, presentations at domestic and international conferences and articles posted in traditional and new media, etc. Impact envisaged:stimulated development of hundreds of quality heritage interpreters across Europe in the following years, who can contribute in organizations dealing with this matter to become more successful; assist professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills in quality interpretation and equip them with a powerful and contemporary quality standards & tools.
