Date du début: 15 août 2015, Date de fin: 14 janv. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

"Hear our voice gender equality is the right choice" - was the motto of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange of the same name held from 17 - 25 October 2015, organized by Outward Bound Croatia, which hosted 24 participants from following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland and Croatia. The topic of the project was the woman's rights and the issue of gender inequality, based on traditions, religion and stereotypes, especially in Europe and the change through history until the view in the future, as well as gender based discrimination and violence and the participants drafted action plans in order to improve the situation back in their communities. With this project we raised awareness about gender inequality and the need to advocate loudly for human rights. Young people are the protagonists of „thinking out of the box“and by participating in this youth exchange they were empowered to create new understanding of masculinity and femininity that promotes healthy, respectful relationships and end gender stereotypes that are the roots of gender inequality. All participants were expected to learn about identity formation in society and understanding the difference between sex and gender. We aimed to equip all participants with the know-how regarding inter-cultural dialogue, social and civic awareness and empower them to become protagonists of change in their societies. Moreover the participants got to know the hosting city through a city bound and local people, as well as the traditional cuisine. Through morning exercises, outdoor games and a treasure hunt the participants were encouraged to a healthy lifestyle and respecting the nature. Also team building games were mostly implemented outside and with a high percentage of active participation and movement. Tools we used, were all non-formal learning such as role-play, group discussions, workshops, sharing sessions, world cafe method and project design. Additional activities were implemented to challenge stereotypes, conflicts and intolerance based on nationalities, sexual identity and different genders like the workshop about anti discrimination and tolerance. Participants were expected to improve their knowledge of these subjects and to be able to deal with them in a more positive light. Also the participants created promotion videos for the "#heforshe" - campaign of the UN Women (https://twitter.com/HeforShe, https://twitter.com/iHeforShe). In an organized debate the group had to prepare two topics which were related to positive discrimination and the new gender roles in our society and to discuss about the pros and cons, while convincing the jury of their point of view. Competence of "learning to learn" was practiced and improved, since the youth was equipped to deal with challenging obstacles and to be able to organize their own learning and its evaluation. Additionally, they gained knowledge on human rights, gender balance, leadership, entrepreneurial skills and conflict management.
